Job Description
Role and ResponsibilitiesWhile not all inclusive, the following is a list of tasks to be performed and/or coordinated:1.       Attend regularly scheduled work days and be on time and prepared for work every day with the required PPE2.       Insurance on welding truck as per company requirements

3.       Welding Qualification specified in QA/QC program and ASME Section IX or as specified in specific Customer or code requirements for welding

4.       Participate in developing JSA on job sites when working on locations with crews

5.       Help identify hazards on job site and awareness of dangers associated with hazardous atmosphere

6.       Participate in safe work and behavioral safety audits

7.       Perform tasks as assigned by Crew Lead or Foreman

8.       Weld pipe and structural steel out of position to the quality standard specified

9.       Pass radiographic examination or other ND inspection methods as required in the Construction Code

10.    Help test the job site for immediate respiratory dangers

11.    Perform monthly tool audit

12.    Ensure compliance of equipment (Vehicle registration, insurance, fire extinguisher)

13.    Develop a general knowledge of KSI PPM-SOP

14.    Read and understand customer’s handbooks

15.    Follow all KSI safety policies and procedures

Qualifications and Education Requirements

·         Minimum 1 Year Experience

·         Prefer 3 Years Experience

Preferred Skills

·         Knowledge of wire and filler materials applications for various steel alloys, aluminum, and some exotic materials

·         Interpretation of mechanical drawings, including weld specific requirements and symbols

·         Ability to layout, prefabricate, and fit various types of pipes and sizes

·         Ability to identify material; configuration type and grade

·         Use of oxygen-acetylene cutting equipment

·         Ability to operate various power tools such as grinders, buffers, and drills

·         Ability to use conventional and precision measuring instruments

·         B-Best observer trained

·         Knowledge of Lock Out/ Tag Out

·         Ability to read and use atmospheric monitors

·         Valid Driver’s license

·         Ability to read and write English

·         Ability to communicate with employees and various business contacts in a professional manner

Pre-Employment Requirements

All candidates must pass a pre employment physical examination, drug / alcohol screen, hold a valid driver’s license, pass a motor vehicle record check and be insurable through KSI’s insurance carrier, criminal background check and E-verify as a condition of successful consideration for employment.

Physical Requirements

Must be able to lift 50 lbs. Depending on the phase of the job, all personnel are required to work in conditions where physical demands can consist of placing one’s body in various positions to inspect and to accomplish certain tasks such as:

·         Sitting

·         Standing

·         Squatting

·         Raising and Lowering objects from one level to another

·         Carrying objects, usually holding it in the hands or arms, or on the shoulder

·         Grasping objects with the use of fingers, palm and wrists to hold/and or manipulate objects (hammers, saws, pencils, pens etc,)

·         Pulling ie. Exerting force upon an object so that the object moves toward the force (includes jerking)

·         Pushing ie. Exerting force upon an object so that the object moves away from the force (includes slapping, striking, kicking and treadle actions)

·         Bending at the waist, stooping, working in a supine position, twisting seated or standing

Some of these physical requirements will range from seldom, frequent to constant depending on the task.
