Person Leading Work

• Person Leading Work, is expected to communicate the Control of Work Plan and any Pre-job Work planning (PWP) documents prior to beginning the day’s work with all workers associated with work
• Manage day to day tasks for typical working crew (2-4 employees) with higher supervision oversight and direction
• Stop Work Authority (SWA), The Job Safety Actions (JSA) allows the PIC to break the job scope down into morning and afternoon job steps which he/she should be able to do
• Understand Behavioral Based Safety Process and its impact on safety awareness, Control of Work (CW) Process, Plan of Day (POD), Confined Space, Hot Work, Permits, Power Line Avoidance, Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
• Trenching and Excavating, Line Finding, Dig Alerts, Energy Control, Environmental
• Site Specific Training requirements (i.e. DTR Aera)
• Should have Equipment knowledge use and limitations, Maintenance pre-shift requirements, sizing cranes for loads and lift requirements, etc
• Identify equipment type, size, number and competent trained equipment operators, skill sets required, tools required to plan and conduct job safely and cost effectively
• Bolt-up and Torquing
• Visible welding issue detection
• Hydrostatic Testing
• Reports to General Foreman/Superintendent as needed

• 1+ years experience
• Good communication skills, oral and written
• Working knowledge of Microsoft WORD, and EXCEL Programs needed for data entry
• Must complete specific KSI PL1 training, AERA Lifeguard Training, and AERA Site Specific Training
• Must be able to lift 50 lbs. Depending on the phase of the job, all personnel are required to work in conditions where physical demands can consist of placing one’s body in various positions to inspect and to accomplish certain tasks such as:
• Sitting
• Standing
• Squatting
• Raising and lowering objects from one level to another
• Carrying objects, usually holding it in the hands or arms, or on the shoulder
• Grasping objects with the use of fingers, palm and wrists to hold/and or manipulate objects (hammers, saws, pencils, pens, etc,)
• Pulling i.e., exerting force upon an object so that the object moves toward the force (includes jerking)
• Pushing i.e., exerting force upon an object so that the object moves away from the force (includes slapping, striking, kicking and treadle actions)
