Job Description
Roles and Responsibilities

While not all inclusive, the following is a list of tasks to be performed and/or coordinated:

  • Use the Learning Management System (LMS) to schedule, deliver and enroll employees into the necessary trainings
  • Deliver training as determined by Operational needs
  • Create reports and dashboards utilizing the LMS
  • Teach classes and help coordinate new hire orientations as needed
  • Work closely with the Training Manager and operations to deliver a quality product
  • Day to day duties managing the LMS
  • Create and modify curriculum as needed
  • Miscellaneous administrative duties

Qualifications and Education Requirements

  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to successfully integrate with a variety of diverse teams/personalities
  • 2+ years experience in a training related field or discipline
  • High School diploma or GED
  • Bachelor’s degree in business preferred
  • Some experience in the oil and gas or general construction industry is required
  • Familiarity with sound teaching techniques and strategies
  • Strong written/verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work on a team in a collaborative environment
  • Ability to interact with employees and all levels of Leadership
  • Ability to work in a diverse environment
  • Ability to train effectively across company workgroups
  • Experience with MS Office products (Excel, PowerPoint, MS Project, etc.)
  • Experience with Adobe Captivate and Scorm files
  • Experience with Learning Management Systems (Cornerstone, Moodle, etc.)
  • Ability to work independently within a culture of high accountability, ethics, and integrity preferred skills

Preferred Skills:

  • Ability to read, understand, and apply complex technical information and master new computer technology
  • Maintain cooperative working relationships and remain professional
  • Demonstrate sensitivity to, and respect for a diverse population

 

Physical Requirements

  • Must be able to lift 50 lbs.
  • Sitting for extended periods of time
  • Standing for extended periods of time
  • Squatting
  • Raising and Lowering objects from one level to another
  • Carrying objects, usually holding it in the hands or arms, or on the shoulder
  • Grasping objects with the use of fingers, palm and wrists to hold/and or manipulate objects (pencils, pens etc,)
  • Pulling i.e. Exerting force upon an object so that the object moves toward the force (includes jerking)
  • Pushing i.e. Exerting force upon an object so that the object moves away from the force (includes slapping, striking, kicking and treadle actions)
  • Bending at the waist, stooping, working in a supine position, twisting seated or standing

 

Some of these physical requirements will range from seldom, frequent to constant depending on the task.
